I agree with the statement that we, humans, are mostly responsible for the climate change that we are facing. Sources from BBC states that an influential group of scientists has concluded that the global climate change is "very likely" to have a human cause. Temperatures are expected to increase by 1.8-4C (3.2-7.2F) by the end of the century. Although this increase in temperature may seem insignificant, it actually is not. In fact, the rise in the temperatures could cause the melting of polar icecaps and glaciers in the Antarctic region causing the sea levels to rise by a few centimeters.
One of the main causes of the climate change is the emissions of greenhouse gases. These gases are able to trap the heat that is being reflected from the Earth, resulting in the increase in temperature. Another reason is that fossil fuels are constantly being burnt to generate electrical energy in power plants.
Although countries such as the United States of America are beginning to take serious actions against global warming, scientists fear that it will be too late to change anything. However, I hope that we can undo the damage that we have caused to our environment.

What are some other possible causes of global warming and why are these causes unlikely when compared to the possible role of humans?
